Situated on the Eola-Amity Hills' western benchlands at 630-750 feet, the site's shallow volcanic Nekia, Ritner, Witzel, and Jory soils are constantly moderated by the Van Duzer Corridor's cooling Pacific air, which is crucial for acid retention and developing a distinct saline minerality. The 2023 growing season, characterized by a hot, dry summer and an exceptionally dry harvest, yielded physiologically ripe fruit while maintaining the region's inherent high acidity. Winemaking involves gentle pressing oxidation and partial aging in French oak barrels, notably rinsed to minimize overt oak influence, resulting in a wine of crystalline texture, significant dry extract, and a coiled, linear tension that promises longevity.
