2023 S et JP Agisson, Sancerre, L'Eclat

Jean-Philippe and Stéphanie Agisson manage their micro-production estate in the village of Saint-Satur, where they have been farming organically and using biodynamic principles since launching their label in 2017. The wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown on a south-facing plot of flint-rich soils planted in 2020. In the glass, it shows clear notes of pear and citrus, with a bright, saline texture and defined acidity derived from aging on lees in neutral oak demi-muids. The 2023 vintage provided an environment that rewarded Agisson’s attention to detail, resulting in a transparent style that highlights the specific luminosity of the site. This is a balanced, precise wine that is ready to enjoy now but possesses the structure to hold for further development in the bottle.
