Domaine Bachelet-Monnot was established in 2005 by brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet in the village of Dezize-lès-Maranges, drawing on their family’s deep generational history as growers in the Côte de Beaune. This Bourgogne Blanc is made from Chardonnay sourced from vineyards within the commune of Puligny, where the vines average 40 years of age and benefit from limestone-rich soils. In the glass, the wine shows precise notes of lemon zest, green apple, and wet stone, supported by a focused, energetic structure and a subtle, creamy texture from lees aging. The 2024 vintage favored white wine production, providing the cooling conditions that yielded a classic, mineral-driven profile with vibrant acidity. This is a balanced, transparent expression of its site that is ready to enjoy tonight but possesses the poise to evolve in the cellar.
