Comando G was established in 2008 by Dani Landi and Fernando García, two winemakers who revitalized forgotten, high-altitude vineyards across the Sierra de Gredos mountains. This specific bottling comes from 2.5 hectares of plots in the village of Navatalgordo, where 50-to-80-year-old vines grow in stony, quartz-rich soils at 1,100 meters elevation. Made from Garnacha, the wine displays a primary profile of red cherry and raspberry with a distinct mineral tension and chalky, fine-grained tannins. The 2024 vintage was shaped by significant spring frost that limited yields, resulting in a wine with notable concentration and finesse.
