Domaine de la Taille Aux Loups farms its oldest vines in the Hauts de Husseau parcel according to strict organic principles, favoring low yields to concentrate the inherent energy of the site. Located on one of the highest elevations in Montlouis-sur-Loire, these vines root deep into thin layers of clay and silex directly atop a limestone mother rock. The 2024 growing season, characterized by its cool, challenging conditions, necessitated extreme vigilance and precise harvest timing to secure physiological ripeness. This vintage has preserved the domaine’s signature structural tension, delivering a Chenin Blanc defined by a chiseled, saline acid profile and a dense, chalk-driven texture. The winemaking approach—spontaneous fermentation in barrels followed by 16 to 18 months of maturation on fine lees—serves only to amplify this site's inherent mineral clarity.
