2024 Domaine Hauvette, Alpilles, Cinsault

Domaine Hauvette, established by Dominique Hauvette in 1988, is situated in the Alpilles foothills near Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and has been farmed using biodynamic practices since 2003. This wine is made from grapes grown in the estate's rocky, clay-limestone soils, where the vines are influenced by the cooling effects of the Mistral wind. This is a light red in its element. Fresh, elegant, with tannins that are present but never assertive. The fruit is pretty and clear, not extracted, not chilled-red caricature. It is like Burgundy took a Mediterranean vacation. This wine will perform best at cellar temp.
