2024 Envinate, Ribeira Sacra, Lousas Doad

Envínate is a project founded by four friends who met while studying oenology, dedicated to highlighting the Atlantic-influenced terroirs of Spain through traditional, non-interventionist farming. This wine is made from a blend of Mencía and other native varieties sourced from various parcels in the town of Doade, where vines aged 23 to 65 years grow in diverse soils ranging from schist to gneiss and quartz. In the glass, it shows bright notes of red cherry, raspberry, and wild thyme, defined by a medium-bodied, silky texture and a persistent mineral finish. The 2024 vintage provided the balanced conditions necessary for these hillside vines to yield fruit with precise, clear expression. This is a highly drinkable, well-structured wine that offers immediate appeal for those who appreciate freshness and clarity in their glass.
