The Boulay family has farmed their nine-hectare estate in the village of Chavignol since 1380, maintaining a legacy of careful stewardship in the heart of Sancerre. This wine is made from Sauvignon Blanc grown on the steep, south-facing slopes of the Mont Damnés vineyard, where the vines thrive in Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Defined by its linear precision and nervous energy, this wine is anchored in focus and verve. The 45-year-old vines yield a profound complexity, revealing layers of citrus oil and white fruit accented by delicate floral notes. While the acidity is vivacious, it is beautifully balanced by a silken texture derived from extended lees contact. It offers a Grand Cru-level experience of top-tier Burgundy, but at a fraction of the price.
