Domaine Gérard Seguin is a family estate in Gevrey-Chambertin that traces its history back to the mid-1800s, when founder Alexis Seguin established the family’s reputation as pioneers in vine grafting. This 1er Cru Craipillot is made from Pinot Noir grown in a 0.9-hectare parcel of vines that are over 90 years old, situated in soil composed of marly debris and pebbles from the Combe de Lavaux. The resulting wine is nuanced and expressive, featuring grounded aromas of liquorice and violet with a texture that balances power with finesse. Because of the variable and challenging growing season, the 2024 vintage produced a wine defined by its classical structure, precision, and refreshing acidity. This bottling is an authentic representation of its site and is built to age gracefully in the cellar for those looking to reward their patience.
