2024 Los Bermejos, Lanzarote Rosado

Hailing from some of the most dramatic vineyards on the planet, Bermejos is a tenacious winery based on Lanzarote, the easternmost of the Canary Islands (not too far from the African coast).  The island was largely covered in volcanic ash and rock during a 6 year volcanic eruption in the 1730’s; the resulting conditions yield beautiful wines with an intense mineral focus for anyone up to the challenge of farming the vineyards. Bermejo’s Rosado is made from Listan Negro, and is succulent and juicy with a peppery bite on the finish – perfect for a plate of jamon or some simply prepared seafood.
