2024 Lucien Muzard & Fils, Meursault, Les Meix Chavaux

Domaine Lucien Muzard & Fils is a 9th generation Santenay-based family estate managed by brothers Claude and Hervé Muzard. Their 0.75-hectare plot in Les Meix Chavaux features incredibly shallow limestone-clay soils and vines planted as far back as 1935. With such shallow topsoil, the vines are forced to dig straight into the limestone bedrock. The result is a total departure from the heavy, fat style of Meursault—instead, it is piercing, mineral-driven wine with beautiful aromatics and a precise, mouth-watering finish.
