2024 Marquis d'Angerville, Meursault, 1er Cru Santenots

Domaine Marquis d’Angerville, a historic Volnay estate, has been a pioneer of estate bottling in Burgundy since the 1920s and is currently managed by the third generation of the family. This 1er Cru Santenots is made from Chardonnay vines first planted in 1905 on the marly-limestone soils of this unique site located between Meursault and Volnay. In the glass, the wine offers precise notes of fresh stone fruit, hazelnut, and saline minerality, supported by a focused, energetic structure. The 2024 vintage provided a classically cool, measured growing season, resulting in a wine defined by its clarity, vibrant acidity, and tension. With its refined balance and depth, this bottle is well-suited for both immediate enjoyment and mid-term cellaring.
