2024 Weingut Tement, Kalk & Kreide Sauvignon Blanc, Sudsteiermark

Weingut Tement has been a benchmark producer in Austria's Südsteiermark appellation since 1959. Today, the estate is guided by the third generation of the Tement family and farmed under strict biodynamic practices. Sourced from over fifty distinct parcels, this wine is crafted from 18- to 58-year-old vines deeply rooted in soils of coralline limestone and calcareous clay marl. In the glass, it delivers vibrant aromas of fresh lemon and crisp pear, underpinned by a distinct saline minerality. The palate is medium-bodied, beautifully round, and highly textured.
