Weingut Vollenweider, based in Traben-Trarbach, was established in 2000 by Daniel Vollenweider and currently operates under the leadership of Moritz Hoffmann, who maintains the estate’s commitment to certified organic farming. The wine is made from old, ungrafted vines—some over 100 years of age—located in the steep, grey slate amphitheater of the Wolfer Goldgrube vineyard. On the palate, this dry wine displays a saline mineral core with distinct notes of stone fruit and crushed herbs, carried by a precise, structural tension. The 2024 vintage, defined by a challenging growing season and reduced yields, produced a wine of notable clarity and finesse.
