2024 Xavier Gerard, Saint-Joseph, Lacombe - St Pierre

In 2020, Xavier Gerard expanded into northern Saint-Joseph by acquiring 1.8 hectares in the Lacombe lieu-dit (Saint-Pierre-de-Bœuf). He immediately tore out the diseased, neglected vines and replanted the sandy granite parcel with 1.3 hectares of Syrah and a half-hectare of Marsanne.

2024 marks the second vintage of Lacombe St. Pierre. This cuvée shows an untamed personality: wildly aromatic, crunchy dark fruit, grippy tannins, and linear finesse typical of sandy granite.
