2025 Nortico, Minho, Alvarinho

Nortico is produced by Alberto Orte, who sources fruit from more than 100 small, family-tended plots located in the villages of Monção and Melgaço along the Minho River. These vines are planted in granite soils, with some specimens dating back to the early 20th century. The resulting wine is bright and textured, offering notes of fresh peach, pear, and citrus balanced by a distinct saline minerality. The 2025 vintage preserves the producer's signature approach of avoiding added CO2, allowing the fruit's natural acidity and depth to remain the focus. It is a balanced, accessible white that is ready to enjoy immediately for its clean, refreshing profile.
