2025 Stein, Rose Trocken

Ulli Stein’s viticultural intent is defined by an uncompromising stewardship of the Lower Mosel’s extreme steep-slope terraces and the technical integration of red varieties into traditional slate sites. This Rosé Trocken is sourced from the Alfer Hölle, where vines are hand-farmed on vertical inclines of clay and slate that dictate the wine’s high extract and mineral focus. The 2025 growing season produced concentrated berries from a warm summer and an early harvest, preserving a racy, invigorating acidity alongside full physiological ripeness. A blend of Spätburgunder, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is bottled without fining to maintain its structural transparency and lean, linear architecture. The resulting profile is characterized by a fine-grained mineral texture, low alcohol, and a persistent, saline-driven finish that reflects the precise agricultural and technical choices of the estate.
