2022 Ambora, Negramoll Rosada Tinto

This is 100% Negramoll Rosada, a pink-skinned grape local to Tegueste, from 60-80+ year old vines planted at 400m altitude in low, sprawling ‘parral bajo’ or low pergola-trained vines, on a north-facing slope of basaltic sandy loams. Grapes are hand-harvested, then whole bunches foot-stomped and fermented with native yeasts in a large, open concrete lagar. Grapes are pressed after 2-3 days of maceration in the lagar, then aged in used barrel and stainless steel for 9 months. Bottled without filtration; 1100 bottles produced.
