2022 Bachelet-Monnot, Maranges Rouge, 1er Cru Clos de la Boutiere

Brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet founded their domaine in 2005 using family vineyards in Dezize-lès-Maranges, where they now manage 22 hectares with a rigorous focus on organic viticulture. This 1er Cru is made from Pinot Noir grown in a site defined by red clay and chalk soils, with vines aged between 65 and 90 years. The wine presents a medium-bodied profile featuring aromas of blackberry and raspberry, supported by fine-grained tannins and a sustained, peppery finish. The 2022 vintage provided warmth and dryness, resulting in excellent ripeness that remains balanced by the site’s inherent stony tension.
