2018 Benedicte & Stephane Tissot, Arbois, Vin Jaune Curon

Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot farm their Arbois vineyards biodynamically—certified since 2004—to capture the most transparent expression of the Jura’s varied terroirs. Their Vin Jaune is sourced from Curon, a distinctive Arbois parcel characterized by calcareous scree soils derived from Bajocian limestone and oriented primarily to the south and southwest.

Made exclusively from Savagnin, the wine ages for a minimum of six years and three months in barrel beneath a naturally formed veil of yeast (voile), a slow oxidative process that shapes its architecture and complexity. The result is a powerful, tightly knit Vin Jaune with driving acidity, depth, and the structural stamina to evolve gracefully for decades.
