The Brovia family has farmed in Castiglione Falletto since the 1800s and remains one of the most traditional estates in Barolo. Fermentations typically run three to four weeks with extended time on the skins, followed by aging in large Slavonian oak casks that frame the wine without masking the vineyard.
Garblèt Sué comes from a steep, south-facing slope just below the village. In local dialect the name means “sunny hillside,” a reference to the exposure that gives the wine its naturally open, expressive fruit.
Among Brovia’s sites, Garblèt Sué often shows the most aromatic profile—rose, red cherry, and spice—with a slightly more supple structure than the firmer bottlings from Rocche or Brea. The 2018 vintage emphasizes that character, offering a Barolo that shows its perfume and approachability earlier while retaining the structure expected from Castiglione Falletto.
