2023 Catherine Riss, T'as pas du Schiste? Pinot Noir, Alsace

Catherine Riss is a force! She's a one-armed woman who makes lovely Alsatian wines in a natural style, and has a bit of a cult following. Her sense of humor is infectious — each of her labels has a crazy story. This one below is a satire of a French expression asking to score drugs (hash), but instead of hash she's so proud of the soil-driven character of her Pinot bottlings that she's pretending to sell the rock this wine grew from (schist, in English).
