2022 Domaine Coquard Loison Fleurot, Bourgogne Rouge

This is an entry level Burgundy from a domaine we’re excited about. While the family has owned vineyards for generations, Domaine Coquard-Loison-Fleurot is a relative newcomer, having only started bottling under their own label in 2010. The catalyst was winemaker Thomas Colladot, who returned to his family's estate after years working alongside his close friend, Sébastien Cathiard, at the legendary Domaine Cathiard. Thomas brings the same meticulous, quality-obsessed philosophy learned at one of Vosne-Romanée's most revered cellars. This is a domaine of immense prestige, owning parcels in an incredible six different Grand Crus in the Côte de Nuits—including Grands Échezeaux and Clos de la Roche. The same hands that craft those monumental wines make this humble Bourgogne.
