2020 Domaine de Villaine, Rully Premier Cru, Margotes Blanc

Domaine de Villaine is in the Côte Chalonnaise and is a project founded by Aubert de Villaine of the legendary Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC). While at DRC, Aubert sought a personal winemaking endeavor, discovering the unique terroir of Bouzeron and surrounding villages. Today, his nephew, Pierre de Benoist, expertly directs the domaine, continuing its legacy of exceptional Burgundy. Margotés lies at the Southern extreme of Rully in Bouzeron. This vineyard is limestone-rich and hence produces a very mineral wine with bright fruit and a fresh profile. Outstanding and in a perfect drinking window.
