2022 Domaine Trapet Pere et Fils, Gevrey-Chambertin, Cuvee 1859 - Magnum

This wine comes from 50-year-old vines in the vineyards of En Derée and Champerrier Dessus, which were the first two parcels purchased by the domaine in 1859, located in Brochon (in the northern part of Gevrey). The fruit that makes this Gevrey-Chambertin Cuvée 1859 was blended in Trapet's 'Ostrea' bottling until 2019. 1859 is 100% whole bunch vinification, and is a very special wine made to honor the domaine's legacy. Note this is a magnum in its own wood case—great format for aging, should you choose.
