The Niedrist family has farmed in the Alto Adige region for nearly two centuries, with Ignaz and Elisabeth Niedrist reactivating their historic estate in 1989 to focus on the unique terroir of their vineyards. This wine is made from Schiava vines aged between 80 and 90 years, which are planted in heat-storing, loamy calcareous gravel soils overlooking Lake Caldaro. In the glass, it displays a bright ruby color with distinct aromas of red berries, rose petals, and forest floor, followed by a light-bodied texture with fine, tea-like tannins.
