Krug, Champagne, Grande Cuvee 172eme Edition

Krug’s Grande Cuvée embodies Joseph Krug’s founding vision of creating the most complete expression of Champagne every year, independent of vintage conditions. Each parcel is vinified separately in small, neutral oak barrels to preserve the individuality of sites across the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. The 172ème Édition—built around the 2016 harvest and blended from 146 wines spanning 11 vintages, including 42% reserve wines—matured for roughly seven years before release. The result is a Champagne of exceptional depth and precision, with layered concentration, vibrant acidity, and a structural tension that expands beautifully with air and time.
