La Staffa, Marche, Mai Sentito!

La Staffa is located in the hills of Staffolo, within the Marche region, where winemaker Riccardo Baldi manages his family’s vineyards using organic practices. This sparkling wine is made from a blend of Verdicchio and Trebbiano grapes grown in clay and limestone soils that are notably rich in calcium carbonate. In the glass, it shows bright, refreshing notes of green apple, pear, and wild fennel, accompanied by a distinct mineral salinity and a fine, lively texture from the ancestral method of bottle refermentation. This wine is ready to enjoy tonight, offering a balanced and clean profile that highlights the freshness of the coastal landscape. Very playful and easy to drink, like a pet nat.
