Marie et Pierre Bénetière manage their tiny, terraced estate in the southern sector of Côte-Rôtie through strict organic farming and laborious manual cultivation. This cuvée, sourced primarily from granitic soils in the Corps de Loup sector, is produced via traditional winemaking methods including whole-cluster fermentation, indigenous yeast, and an extended elévage in neutral oak. The 2010 vintage in the Northern Rhône provided the ideal conditions for this approach, with a cool, dry growing season that preserved significant nerve, tension, and structural acidity. The resulting Syrah possesses a fine-grained, tapering frame and concentrated mid-palate density, defined by its mineral precision rather than weight.
