Maxime Magnon is one of the hidden jewels of the Kermit Lynch portfolio and he has been making Beaujolais-inspired wine from the sun-drenched southern region of Corbieres in the Languedoc for decades. Rozeta is a co-fermented field blend from 50+ year old vines centered on Carignan, Grenache and Cinsault. Magnon studied under Jean Foillard in Morgon and is originally from Burgundy. This Rozeta cuvée features soaring dark-fruited aromatics with smoky garrigue on the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, fresh and nuanced and shows a great mineral reflection of the limestone soils. No sulfur is used during fermentation. A clean, gorgeous natural wine that is impossible to resist today but will age gracefully.
