Moët & Chandon’s Imperial Brut is the product of an exhaustive blending program, drawing on a vast array of holdings across the entirety of the Champagne appellation to ensure stylistic consistency. The house leverages access to diverse chalk, limestone, and clay-limestone soils, allowing for the strategic assembly of Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Chardonnay components. Winemaking emphasizes controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats to preserve the structural integrity of the base wines, followed by an extensive integration of reserve wines to stabilize the house signature. The final assemblage undergoes a minimum of 24 months of aging on the lees, resulting in a wine defined by a precise, linear acid profile, a consistent bead, and a tightly structured mid-palate density.
