2020 Monte Dall'Ora, Valpolicella, Classico Superiore Camporenzo

Monte Dall’Ora is one of our favorite producers in the region, and this is one of our most popular wines. The Camporenzo vineyard is essentially the family's backyard - three hectares planted in the rolling San Pietro hills behind their house. The exact blend is 40% Corvina , 30% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Oselata and Molinara. These traditional varieties were planted in 2008, trained in a way to encourage greater concentration in this Superiore bottling. This is Valpolicella that has a sense of delicacy to it. Too often, Valpolicella can feel hot and syrupy, but this one breaks that glass ceiling and feels almost crushable. It sports a plush but midweight palate. This is a great lighter bodied wine and will be a great partner to richer meats when you still crave something energetic and lithe.  It’s a dreamy little wine for the money and a great option for a house red.
