2022 Ocho, Rkatsiteli Mtsvane, Who ru?

Known in Georgia where it is produced as an “Amber Wine,” the Who ru? is a classic orange wine. A Rkatsiteli/Mtsvane blend, this wine is aged in traditional Georgian kvevri with 6 months of skin contact. In Georgian mythology, Ocho is considered a protector of the forest, and drinking this traditional wine while admiring the nearly extinct fauna of the region often brings one to wonder who they are and why they are here. From vineyards in Tibaani, Signagi, and Kakheti. Wine has been made in Georgia for 8000 years, and this is a lovely way to taste a very traditional and natural wine from the world’s oldest wine wine producing region.
