The Bea family has stewarded their Montefalco estate since the early 1500s, maintaining a closed-loop farm rooted in ancestral, non-interventionist agriculture. Today, Paolo and his sons Giampiero and Giuseppe honor this legacy through organic viticulture and natural winemaking. Giampiero has become a leading voice in Italy's natural wine movement, co-founding Vini Veri to champion transparent, chemical-free practices. Cotidie—Latin for "daily"—represents the estate's foundational expression: a co-ferment of Sagrantino and Trebbiano Spoletino that revives older Umbrian tradition, destemmed and fermented with native yeasts on clay-limestone soils without temperature control, fining, or filtration. The result is a wine of structured elegance and unadorned terroir. Extended skin contact and time on the gross lees yield red plum, blood orange, herbs, and spice balanced by bright acidity and the distinctive Bea character. Firm tannins and earthy undertones anchor the profile, making it equally at home alongside pork, sausages, lentils, or tomato-based dishes. Cotidie delivers Montefalco's essence without pretense—a daily wine that speaks directly to its place.
