Utilizing 100% whole-cluster fermentation and an extended 55-day maceration in concrete vats, Parra prioritizes architectural tension and site-specific savory elements over varietal weight. The 0. 2-hectare vineyard is defined by its steep slope and unique composition of silty, sandy Paleozoic granite rich in quartz and mica, providing a distinct saline and iron-tinged mineral core. The cooler 2021 vintage, characterized by slow maturation and moderate temperatures, reinforced the wine’s verticality, yielding a profile defined by high acid retention and a leaner, more precise frame.
