Périne Baillette, the wife of Alexandre Chartogne (Chartogne-Taillet), runs this small family estate in the Montagne de Reims. She farms using organic methods and works the soil with her two horses, Tarzan and Saumur. A blend of equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier from 45-year-old vines. This is bright and saline, offering a fresh attack of white flowers and grapefruit with a chalky, mineral-driven finish.
