2023 Cantina Terlano, Pinot Bianco, Alto Adige

From the Dolomite region at the foothills of the Alps, this is a great example of this oft overlooked grape. Most Pinot Biancos are innocuous wines and miss the real potential of this grape. Terlano’s example is Pinot Bianco on another level.  Love the texture on this one, but there is still plenty of acidity and zip to keep it fresh and coming back for more. Apple and pear fruit co-mingle nicely along with an inviting mineral finish. A good white Burgundy alternative at very attractive price.
