Winemaker Tasting with Thomas Barbichon November 6th
Winemaker Tasting with Thomas Barbichon November 6th
12+ available
Join us at Manhattan Wine Company for an evening with Thomas Barbichon, a fourth-generation grower in Gyé-sur-Seine. Thomas is based in the Aube, a region that has gained momentum in producing world-class Champagne from its Kimmeridgian soil (akin to Chablis) over the past two decades. Rather than following the conventional path in Champagne, Thomas chose a more demanding path. His dedication to certified organic and biodynamic viticulture centers on honest farming and living soils.
I tasted with Thomas Barbichon on my last trip to Champagne, and I think these are some of the region's classiest wines. These are vibrant, mineral-laden wines with poignant integrated fruit. - Kimberly
