A hallowed sake in its uniqueness, Yuki No Bosha is one of the most sought after amongst sake lovers. What makes it so special is the craftsmanship, but also the location. “Yuki No Bosha” literally translates to “Cabin in the Snow,” as Akita gets so cold and snowy during the brewing months that the kura is engulfed in the snow. The temperature combats the heat of the fermentations, slowing them down substantially – the production takes on average about six to ten times longer than breweries in other regions. The flavor and aromatics come from a proprietary blend of twelve different yeast strains, some of them derived from fruits like apples, even strawberries.
