While everyone else was making sourdough during the pandemic, the folks at January Spirits dove deep into creating modern American versions of traditional European botanical spirits. Distilled in Greenport Long Island, this gin is a blend of five flowers as well as a heap of roots and seeds. It is intensely aromatic, chock full of marigold and chamomile on the nose with a long and clean finish. There’s the familiar juniper and citrus on display, but this gin is more about texture and aroma. It finishes as 90 proof, because that’s where they feel gin tastes best! Designed to remain present in the wettest of martinis and to provide texture and body in a light and easy gin and soda.
