Part of the Cortes family's single-village line of mezcals, this particular bottling hails from Lachigui in Miahuatlan (more a rancho or a campo than a village...o), this is bright, high-toned, grassy mezcal (a style I tend to lean on a bit here). Made from a mix of wild and cultivated Espadin, this is a lovely example of pretty and accessible mezcal, handmade at palenque Tio Pedro by (you guess it) a man named Pedro (who is presumably also an uncle).
