Chionetti began in 1912, when Giuseppe Chionetti purchased the San Luigi farmhouse in Dogliani, an area heralded as the noblest possible terroir for Dolcetto.
It wasn’t until Giuseppe's grandson Quinto and Quinto’s son Andrea took over the domain that they began estate bottling and selling their wines in foreign markets. Soon after they received critical acclaim for their Dolcetto.
In 2015, they purchased three vineyards in the Barolo area. Today Chionetti owns 15 hectares of vineyards, all farmed and certified organically.
