Trediberri was started by Federico Oberto, his son Nicola, along with his friend Valdimiro Rambaldi in the hamlet of Berri in La Morra – three (tre) from (di) Berri. Their Barolo Normale is mostly sourced from a plot of young vines in Berri on the western edge of La Morra with 20% of the fruit coming from Capalot in the center of the zone. This is a Barolo that is pure and bright, easy to drink with silky tannins and bright acidity, and appealing floral aromas on the nose. Their wines have risen in popularity (they now are invited to Galloni’s La Festa di Barolo in NYC) in a few short years and have many fans. To find a Barolo that captures so much allure at this price point is rare.
