The Dão is a noble, aged granitic terroir, rendering wines with a delightfully spiky energy. This dry white is made from a blend of Encruzado, Malvasia Fina, and Bical, and features a great acidity (as nearly all Portuguese wines do, all the way from the cold north to the sun-drenched south!) with a burst of citrus and a hint of those decomposed granite soils.
