Does Raj Parr even need an introduction anymore? Perhaps if you aren’t familiar with his Phelan Farms project, where he trades in his sommelier and winemaker hats for a farmer’s hat. The Phelan family founded their farm in the 1850s, but only started planting grapes in 2007 using natural farming methods. They first appeared on Raj’s radar when they offered to sell him grapes – and instead he asked if he could plant his own on their land! They struck a partnership, and Raj began putting his money where his mouth is when it comes to championing natural farming techniques.
