From two old vine vineyards in Sonoma (Monticello, Monte Rosso) that were planted in the 1970's. A velvety and richly fruited nose with dark berry aromas leads to an elegant palate with a sense of grip that's proper to Cabernet, complete with flecks of green bell pepper and other welcome earthy tones. Morgan Twain-Peterson MW and ex-NYC wine pro Chris Cotrell are dead-set on making elegant, old school wines from old vines at prices that are within reach to all. While they specialize in Zinfandel and Syrah, they also happen to make a bit of wonderful Cabernet!
