An exciting part of modern-day Burgundy is that the quality of the farming has improved dramatically over the past twenty years. More good to great Burgundy is being made today than ever before. There’s pressure to improve from Dijon to Lyon, and while land prices have sky-rocketed in the more famous villages, conscientious growers are taking “modest” terroirs to new heights. In addition, we are seeing famous growers from the Côte d’Or produce some of the best wines we’ve ever tasted from these same emerging areas. Like all the iconic wine regions of the world, Burgundy is evolving / advancing right alongside our obsession of this seemingly endless topic.
Today we’ve rounded up a group of accessible reds for your drinking pleasure from a handful of our favorite growers. That’s it – chill, drink, enjoy – rinse and repeat. Hope you’re having a great weekend!
