This is fresh and juicy wine that has been bittered with quinine, everyone's favorite tonic water flavoring, malaria destroying tree bark. I once took a bottle of this with me to India in lieu of actual malaria medication and really enjoyed having a glass at night until a soldier armed with a large gun confiscated it form me in the Goa airport in spite of my protestations that it was medicine. You can only argue so much with a man with a gun and no smile. This stuff makes for an interesting sweet vermouth substitute in the usual suspects, as an aperitif with a little lemon twist, or as a conversation starter with the armed forces of the Indian subcontinent.
