Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is a unique style of rosé, typically much deeper in color with more structure and intensity to match. Amorotti’s Cerasuolo is made entirely from direct pressed Montepulciano and aged for one year in used botti before bottling. The wine is loaded with pure sour-cherry and citrus fruit accented by effusive spice and plenty of lift. Vibrant and bone-dry with crackling acidity, this is much more than a simple quaffer. Try it with grilled meats, or stock a few bottles away for the years to come. If you enjoy Beaujolais or more serious rosé like that of Château Simone or Clos Cibonne, then you really need to check this stuff out. Please drink with a slight chill and roast yourself a chicken. This is remarkable juice that is a joy to drink.
