Levet has emerged as one of the greatest old-school Côte-Rôtie producers. The wines have power and grizzly, savory complexity, but also restraint. You get the coolness and minerality of the appellation, the most northerly of the Northern Rhône. The wines age extremely well. The entry-level Côte-Rôtie is seriously good. Floral, herbal, spicy nose, red and black berry fruits.
